Helping young people feel understood and families feel supported.

I’m Ken Lee, a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist offering specialist support to children, teenagers, young adults, and families in Ayrshire, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.

I provide a safe and non-judgemental space for young people aged 0–25 to explore emotional and relational difficulties at a pace that feels manageable for them. Parents often come to me when they’re worried about anxiety, low mood, identity struggles, friendship challenges, or a sense that their child feels overwhelmed or lost. Therapy offers a consistent place to think about these experiences and begin to understand what might be happening beneath the surface.

With over 18 years of experience in NHS and private settings, and having been qualified as a child psychotherapist since 2021, I offer once-weekly and intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy tailored to each young person’s needs. I also work closely with parents and caregivers, helping them make sense of their child’s emotional world and supporting relationships at home so that change can take root beyond the therapy room.

Common reasons people seek therapy include:

  • Anxiety, low self-esteem, or depression

  • Self-harm, school refusal, or emotional dysregulation

  • Family breakdown, loss, or bereavement

  • Identity, relationship, or attachment difficulties

You may not have a clear name for what’s going on—but something doesn’t feel right. You’re not alone in this. I’m here to help you or your child feel understood, supported, and more secure.
